Session 6 - Email

Good morning Beautiful Women of God,
In reviewing our course on Faithful, Abundant, and True, I am extremely grateful at all the wonderful truths in God's word which we had the opportunity to study. Looking at Miss Kay's portion on faith and being challenged to see in Hebrews that without faith it is "impossible" to please God (Heb 11:6). The book I am currently reading, Crazy Love, by Francis Chan poses a challenging question which is "What am I doing right now that requires faith?" He goes on to say so many of us wouldn't be living very differently if we didn't believe in God; as our lives are not affected by faith. God calls us to trust Him so completely that we are unafraid to put ourselves in situations where we will be in trouble if He doesn't come through. It reminds me of Peter stepping "out" of the "safe" boat.

Who can forget Miss Priscilla's amazing teaching on Ephesians 3:20,21? "NOW, unto Him who is ABLE to do exceedingly abundantly above ALL that we can ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him by glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen!" God can go way past our way past! We have an unmangeable God. He's consistent in character but can "surprise" us in action.

Beth honesty and openness to being "punked" was refreshing! I know many of us have been there and the challenge is to love with our eyes WIDE open! Discernment is important in the end days as many more people will be bent on deceit. Satan is cunning remember he first tempted Eve by having her question God's word, "Did God really say that you shouldn't eat from every tree of the garden?" It is vital that we know His word as Miss Kay challenged us so that we can rest on it in EVERY circumstance in our lives!

God bless each of you through the last week of homework on this journey!

We will be having our Celebration Dinner this upcoming Monday night - same time, same place! (Batman comes to mind for some reason:) Okay, back on track - 6:45 p.m. at the church office in the creative room where we have been meeting! We will be finishing with the final video - Session 7 - which is an open forum of question/answer with Kay, Priscilla and Beth. It's a fun way to see each of them in a different more casual way.

Updates are posted on the blog for Sessions 5 & 6 www.faithfulpalmvalley.blogspot.com.

Session 6 - Fill Ins

1. Divine revelation in our human encounters
Am I critical or suspicious person by nature
A I jealous or do I feel threatened
Do I have anything selfish to gain from this outcome?
Are my emotions clouding my discernment?

You cannot walk in the Spirit and not have a heavy-duty relationship with Christ.

The spirit fill us to the extent that we yield to His authority.

We will never live a day in the Spirit accidentally.

The yes to the Holy Spirit is telling me something

1. run
2. step back
4. Stay put

2. Divine revelation in our Christ encounters

Christ wants to give us enlightened hearts that can see Him and sense Him at work.

The People of God have the power withinus, not just to do or to act, but to know.

Do not be deceived

God bless you this week! I recommend printing out this e-mail and keeping it in your purse so whenever you have a moment during lunch break, at night before bed, waiting for a doctor to call you, skipping a favorite TV show, (oops, did I say that) you can lift requests up before Him. Remember to enter his court with thanksgiving and praise - He is Worthy!

Session 4 - Email

Ephesians 3:20,21 Now to him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ unto all generations forever and ever. Amen

Remember the 7 principles from Ephesians - Food for thought to keep in mind that the number 7 is perfection!

1. Time - is Now
2. Turning - to Him
3. Truth is absolute not relative
4. Transcendence - (hyper - word on steroids) - We serve a God who does way past your way past! (Paris/France - comes to mind!)
5. Totality - ALL - We have a God who cares about everything. All means ALL!
6. Turbo power - the power working within us through the Holy Spirit.
7. Our tribute to Him - For HIS glory! Our God is predictable in His character, but He is unpredictable in His activity.

I will never look at Ephesians 3 the same - POWERFUL! I wanted to reiterate what Phyllis drove home in Session 4 as I thought it was an extremely motivating teaching.

Have you been challenged to change your prayer habit? Have you challenged to ask and trust God more than you have in the past? Has your faith grown? I know I have been incredibly challenged by the truths we have been learning.

Pray that our God will do even more exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all that you can ask, think or imagine! Our God is ABLE and Faithful! We can trust in HIS truth!

I look forward to seeing all of you Monday night for Session 5! It is a very applicable word for today by Beth Moore.

The class blog has been updated if you need the fill ins, want to review the praise/prayer requests, etc. www.faithfulpalmvalley.blogspot.com

Session 3 - Email

Hi Wonderful Women!

Surprise! Yes, our God is able to surprise us isn't He? I know He has given me a suprise this week by answering a prayer dramatically regarding my son! Thank you Lord! I know He responded to another precious woman from our study almost immediately this week after she prayed to Him! Thank you again Lord! And, I'm sure there are others!

Be encouraged! Keep praying as God does answer prayers. Possibly not with the answer we are requesting but with the RIGHT answer as He knows what is BEST! You can count on that! He tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, "I know the thoughts that I think for you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." He thinks about you! Feast on that a moment!

You may not be able to possibly see the "why" of the answer to some of your prayers but you can trust and believe His word. He is Faithful! Remember 1 Cor 10:13, "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." He doesn't allow you to be tempted above what you are able - He has your back! You are precious to Him and He loves you with agape love. Agape meaning "perfect unconditional" love ! I don't know about you but that makes me want to go running and jumping into His lap for a huge hug and be able to hear His heartbeat!

I encourage you to stay in His word daily being determined, diligent, dedicated, deliberate by doing it! Yes, the 6 "D's" are back! I thought of another one "DELIGHTED" to be in the Word

I will be updating the blog tomorrow with fill-ins, praise, prayer requests. The class blog is www.faithfulpalmvalley.blogspot.com

God bless you with His mighty riches through our precious Lord! See you all the 11th! (We are not meeting this upcoming week of the 4th)

Session 3 - Praise/Prayer Requests

Hello Prayer Warriorettes!

I wanted to forward to you the praises and prayer requests I received so that each of you will be "diligent" and "determined" to lift each other up in prayer "daily" before our God who is "able" to do "exceedingly" and "abundantly" "above" and "beyond" what we can possibly think or imagine! NOW, here they are! Sorry, I couldn't help but do a little review after such a powerful word from Priscilla last night! Awesome!!!!

Robin W - I need to rest in faith for God's timing as I have a huge desire to be in full time ministry at PVC in the area of student ministries & missions. There are times my heart aches and longs for the day God opens the door for it to be a reality.

Christy - Prayer for my sister, Julia, and my friend, Margaret, who are both lost and desperately need God to open their eyes and heal them.

Sophia - Praise - I got a job! I will be working for a high school as a coach. God is faithful and good!

Unspoken

? - Prayer request - please pray for me to have patience with my husband. He is not a believer and its becoming increasingly difficult being with him.

Kelly - Praise God for whatever the reason my husband has been making a conscientious effort to keep in to contact with me during deployment. Pray for my EMT test and career & confirmed marriage growth.

? - Praying that my hopes and dreams are aligned with God. For my husband to be able to have alone time (due to stress at work.)

Debbie - I have a couple of prayer requests, one is for my sister Vera who's health is not very good right now. The other one is for my Dads health, it is also not good. And lastly for my sister Vera's marriage, specifically that her husbands priorities be lined up with Gods.
I am so thankful that I have a women's Bible study that I can attend and to learn and grow in Him. He is so faithful!

Renee - My mother-in-law has had heart issues for a while now plus diabetes… my sister took her to the doctor yesterday and they did a bunch of tests… the tests came back today, when they received the results all her levels were way too high… “Her INR reading was above 7.5 (should be at 3) and that’s too high, they’re taking her to ER at Banner Estrella to give her vitamin K and run some tests.”
Because they are all new to the signs and stuff my sister is beating herself up for not taking her in sooner… Nana has been sleeping a lot lately and very sluggish… she also fell last week so Sophie thought the bruising was from that… she’s 77 years old… please keep her and my family in your prayers for healing and awareness and also preparing our hearts …

Kim - Praising God that He truly is ABLE! Loving that truth! Praise - My husband told me he was reading the Bible for the past couple of nights - blessed beyond belief! Prayer request - that he receive another job project here in AZ so that he'll be able to come home.

Marcia - Please pray for her husband, Gene of 24 years who recently left. That God would restore and renew their marriage.

Pauline - Please pray for her son, a young teenage man, who needs to have God radically transform his life.

God bless you beyond measure!!! See all of you on the 11th for more fantastic teaching from Prisilla Shirer! Praise - we all have TWO weeks to do our homework - so DIG DEEPER!

Session 2 - Email

Hi Precious Sisters in Christ,

Daily, deliberate, diligent, determined and dedicated to doing God's will! My goal this week has been to focus on the 6 "D's." The Christian walk is not one that by osmosis happens. We are active participants striving to become more like Christ. It takes work and effort but the rewards are abundant in Christ when we make choices in our lives to set our priority on Him.

I am challenged by our memory verse this week which is 2 Tim 2:15 "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of God."

God's word is truth. I have loved reviewing the homework from last week and the focus of Faith. Rom 10:17 tells us that "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." Heb. 11:1 tells us that "Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen." Without faith it is impossible to please God it tells us in Heb. 11:6. God tells us that the righteous shall live by faith and if he shrinks back, His soul has no pleasure in Him. For a Christian, faith is a way of life. If you feel like your faith is weak, ask God to increase your faith just as the apostles asked of Jesus in Luke 17.

Be encouraged to do your weekly study and spend time with your Lord! I've done the first two days of study so far and have been blessed beyond measure! We serve a God who is GREAT! Worship Him and ask that He be glorified in your life!

For those of you who have missed sessions, you can go to this link to watch or hear the studies for a small fee. http://www.lifeway.com/search/results/?o=Quick&sp=faithful+abundant

Hi Wonderful Women!
Wow, Monday night was a wonderful way to start the study of God's word together! I was incredibly blessed to see all of you ready to "dig!" I hope you were encouraged, challenged and excited as I was to go "deeper still!" Kay Arthur sure can "bring it down" can she not? I love her passion for His word and desire for us to desperately seek His word for everything life "throws" our way!

How's your homework going? Were you able to get your "highlighters" out? Yep, I couldn't help but ask!

I love Day One which lays the foundation of the study by looking at what the Word says about the "Word." It is a fundamental element to truly know. Going even "deeper" you can ask yourself, do I "believe" what the Bible teaches about what the Word is because if you do not believe it is infallible Word of the Creator Himself you should examine the "why" of that disbelief.

Here are a few things that the Word teaches about what the Word of God is and does.

Teaching/Training - 2 Tim 3:16,17
Saving - Rom 10:17
Guiding - Ps. 119:105
Counseling Ps 119:24
Reviving Ps 119:154
Restoring Ps 19:7
Rewarding Ps 19:11
Justify Heb 4:1
Sanctifying John 17:17
Freeing John 8:31,38
Protecting Ps 119:11
Strengthening Ps 119:28
Rejoicing the heart Ps 19:8
Prospering Jos 1:8,9
Just to name a few things Yes, there are more!

Check out the updates on the class blog at www.faithfulpalmvalley.blogspot.com for praise/prayer requests, fill ins, etc. If you would like to add your praise/prayer requests to the blog please e-mail those to me!
